Iv just been signed off for a week due to health reasons (seveare bladder infection to which i had an operation for a week ago) for a week. I have been with the company for almost a year now and my
Initial probationary period was 6 months. This was then extended at my last (late!) review by another 3 months due to my regional manager believing i was not "settling into my role" dispite holding the sore over the busiest week of xmas single handed:mad: I have my next one soon and could still be off or just got back. I am worrid that my regional manager will hold my sickness against me (she can be very awquard). Please help, i feel that they think im making excuses and unreliable.
can anyone help put my mind at rest so i can recover in peace or know where i stand?:(

Annoyingly they do hold it against you. Worked for NHS a while back and if you were sick 3 times in a year you would have to face a disciplinary. How the heck are you supposed to avoid getting sick? It was just a formality I think.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

But should an employer have to have someone that is constantly sick? The 3 times in a year rule is going to stop the mick takers but unfortunately does occasionally catch innocent people. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

Why should an employer be responsible if you are sick, they are not a part of social services or the benefits system.0
