Sticky in Pension Forum

OK so the same question gets asked numerous times a week - "Can I cash in my pension?", and the simple answer to this is no. Unless you are terminally ill or over 55 you cannot access your pension and some other stuff.

This has been repeated over and over again as people do not seem to want to use the search option MSE has posted.

However, can Martin/his team create an article about pensions and cashing them in, and then sticky it so that people can see it?

Thanks,

It really has become an FAQ and a bit of a running joke with it usually being asked almost daily in new threads. Sometimes even multiple times a day. Like any FAQ, the responses are starting to become short and blunt. It doesnt need the board to create a new thread. We can point to a couple of decent threads which cover the subject well.

There are a few FAQs for the pension forum and a few obsolete stickies in there. However, there doesn't appear to be an active board guide/moderator for that section who picks up on these things.

It is quite important as there are some pension scams going on by unregulated overseas companies promoting things like pension loans which, whilst allowable, the versions used by the scam companies basically erode the pension into nothing and as they are unregulated companies there is no consumer come back.
