    250 / 10 = 25

    25/12 = 2.0833 multiplyed by 78 = 162.49

per £250 you get £2.0833 per month

Are you calculating your figures based on a 10% gross rate?

For a 12% gross rate, which A&L are currently offering on their regular saver, my calculator comes to an approximate figure of £195 gross interest.

Even if I do a rough calulation using the average £1500, (0.12 x 1500) I get £180 gross. Using the same average, a basic rate taxpayer would receive approx £144.
