RBS - reclaiming PPI - please can you help?

Hi,
I took out a 5 year loan with the RBS in feb 2008 and was pushed into buying the insurance. In March 2010 I was called from the bank asking me to come in and discuss my account. when I went in, they said they could help save me some money on my monthly repayments by changing this PPI to life insurance instead. I agreed as it saved me a lot of money a month. Now I want to reclaim my money back for the 2 years that I was paying insurance, as i thought I was pushed into buying the insurance in the first place but will I still be able to as it was cancelled last year and my loan is still outstanding?
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
