Ditto, ditto ditto.....
Son fell off his bike, dropped his mobile on the drive and Mr Unbelievable ran over it with his 4x4!
Mobile phone insurance from platinum current a/c meant phone was completely repaired and returned in 4 days - thanks!
(unfortunately his phone charger developed a fault - sent it away on 18th August and still waiting for a replacement - hey ho, mobile may be dead but it looks luvly) :-/0 -
Lloyds/TSB twice mucked up a balance transfer that was intended to save me big bucks but as a result of their mistake I was sixty-odd quid worse off in both cases.
I rang them up and was given an address to write to. Within days they fully refunded the interest I'd been charged by the other credit cards.
I was very happy with the way they put right their errors.0 -
We still bank with Lloyds on the mainland even though we retired a couple of years ago to the Atlantic Coast of Northern Ireland.
Our pensions and my carers allowance are paid in direct and we use the account for day to day expesses shopping and small cheques. I never bother to really check the statements because after over 20 years with Lloyds I know from memory roughly what should be in the bank to within a few pounds
I went to Tescos in our local market down and paid for shopping and £50 cash back, the shopping cleared but the £50 request came up on the screen as "Use another Source".
I knew there should be around £1,000 in the account but used another bank debit card for the £50.
I phoned Lloyds to find there was only £1-32 left in the account, it turned out that my pension had not been paid in for three months.
The Tesco bill that day had not been debited and I knew there were cheques for MBNA credit card payment of £19-95 for my Sky , and for my NW Visa card for Freeserve due to hit plus a D.D. for house contents insurance, so I was looking at charges for cheques getting bounced and MBNA and NW hitting me for £25 each +++.
The Lady was extremely helpful when I suggested posting a cheque from another account to put the account in credit, telling me it was no good and would not be credited to my account soon enough to stop the account going ovedrawn and incurring charges in time and bouncing cheques and D/Ds. She immediately offered a £1,000 overdraft facility to cover things until I sorted out my pension with the Pensions Service.
The account went £33 O/D for a few days and then back into credit with my wifes pension payment.
The problem turned out to be that the Pensions service had been waiting for three months for forms to be returned from the Disability and Carers Service in respect of a change of circumstances of an inrease in payment of a few pence per month.
I have calculated that the young lady saved me well over £100 in charges and more importantly prevented damage my credibility by bounced cheques and unpaid direct debits.
The banks and credit card companies take a lot of well desrved bad publicity. But credit were credits due this young lady deserves all the credit for common sense and excellent customer service.0 -
Have had reason to call them twice over the last couple of days. On both occassions the phone was answered before it had even rung (well you know what I mean). The staff were refreshingly helpful, polite and friendly. Absolutely first class service and to top it off they're giving me an amazing rate on the first £5000 in my account. ;D
The likes of Dell and Staples could learn so much from them.
Well done LloydsTSB, keep up the excellent service.0 -

|I'm happy with them too. If ever I have a problem with internet banking (ie computer crashing or internet logging off in the middle of a transaction) a quick phone call has always sorted it out. You know - you worry if money will be taken out twice or whatever. They're the tops with me!0

I have been with Lloyds for 15 years now.
They may not always be the best value in terms of overdraft charges and loan APR etc. but I have always found their service first class.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0
