Rental inspection query

Hello all

Last week I was been served S21 notice to move out of my rented flat (due to move at end of tenency mid Aug). Fair enough. But now I've just has LA's leave me voicemail asking to do the 6 monthly inspection. The LA's have messed up on their inspection (obviously) and I've only had 2 in the 2 years I've lived there. Last one was in Nov last year.

I just wanted to check whether I need to have this inspection carried out now as obviously I will be having an inspection on moving in 2 months? In one way I would like them to come to view some damage that has occured from one of their handymen (I have liaised with them via email about this, and they have pics etc and handyman admitted damage) but on other hand I would need to take time off to be there which is a pain.

Any suggestions? I don't want to leave the LA's on bad terms but TBH they have be very lax with maintenance issues throughout tenency so don't see why I should have to fit around them.

Cheers

You can ask them to carry the inspection out on a Saturday if you do not work on that day.
In addition, if you did not agree to such periodic inspections in your agreement you do not have to accept at all.

They don't do inspections on Saturdays (or Sunday)! Ridiculous.

Too bad for them. No inspection, then...
