Bogus company or shoddy workmanship?

Thanks for all your comments. I know nothing about DIY, glass or joinerys- which is why i had decided to call a glass company/glazier etc to do the job of putting the right glass in and fitting.
i don't expect them to fit a new door if they can resolve the problem. by the comments i have been given, it may be a good possibility that this is do-able but on the basis that i get the same match as what i have on the door.
i am not reacting over the top based on the communication i have had with their fitter, who on both occassions created the heated atmosphere and left before issues could be resolved (on both occassions), within minutes of me raising things need to be sorted.
i have now found out that the glass they fitted can cost anything between £3-£9 from local diy places (either the 6mm or 4mm version) and toughened glass which is 4mm would cost £18- this is why i am so annoyed, given i cannot do diy (or not well) and i didnt want to put anyone else out, i thought i was doing the easiest and quickest thing by employing a professional company.
i will get onto finding out if theres a local firm that can do the beading.

All glass regardless of size needs to be toughened if its going into a door.
A bit OT but if the glass area size is less than *I think* 0.15m² then it doesn't need to be toughened because it is not deemed to be dangerous if it breaks. Sometime LABC will have there own interpretations and rules.0 -
I believe my suspicions about this glass company being cowboys are correct. Though they promised to call back on wednesday, they did not. WHen i spooke to the manager & sent follow up emails yesterday i was told i would get a call back within a few hours on thursday. No call. No call today either and that is with them knowing that i need to know what they will do about the fact they have damaged my beading and left rusty nails in it.
I think a cowboy company as
1. Quick to take the money on monday on the phone to send someone out the same day, then called an hour later to say they would come tuesday.
2. Shoddy because of the workmanship
3. Expecting me to sign the invoice which by the way was £30 more than what was agreed on the phone the day before
4. Winning grand prize of shoddyness as no response to fixing the problem they had created on tuesday.
For those of you who responded to say i was making a mountain out of a molehill, then i would like to see how you would react if you'd been in this situation. I don't expect cowboy jobs and problems like this when one pays good money. The fact that some of you guys have responded by saying its an easy job makes this situation even more annoying...that it is easy to fix (for those that have the know how) yet charged an extortionate amoutn of money, to do a very poor job and then do nothing to fix it (given this happend on tuesday this is now unacceptable!).0
