TheHut - Returns/Refund

Hi,

A bit of a vent but also a bit of advice needed.

I posted a while back saying thehut sent an incomplete order (this was beginning of April).

They asked me to send it back which i did. They say they never received it. Luckily i had proof of postage.

They then asked me to send the proof of postage in, I photocopied this and sent it in. They then said they never received this.

They asked for proof of postage again which I sent recorded delivery. They have just emailed to say that it never arrived again and to resend it. After checking royal mail they have received it and i dont believe all 3 never arrived.

Any advice on what to do? Its been over 2 months now

I am really sorry about all this messing about with your proof of postage but is there no way that you can send it by email then you will need to keep on sending it to us.

Is there no waay that you can scan the proof of postage?
Then you could email it to them.

have you supplied them with the RD number?
this will show it as delivered from their local delivery office
as for email,no scanner,digital camera,camera phone?

hi, yes I supplied them with it and it shows as delivered.

I dont have a scanner but the digital camera might work - although i will have to find the proof again. I was sure sending it recorded delivery would be good enough!

If i cant find it what can i do? I have proof that they have received it. Could i raise this with my bank as theft. I have proof they have signed for it, or do i raise it with royal mail?

raise what? all they will tell you is its delivered
a company the size of the Hut will get a bulk delivery every day

just an update if anyone interested.

After 2 attempts to post the proof of postage (which i luckily I photocopied). I emailed them the proof.

they accepted this and have sent out a 'new' item............I wanted a refund and waited nearly 3 months

might just stick it on ebay

Phone them up and tell them you will be rejecting the replacement goods and expect a refund of your original payment and your return postage whilst you are on the phone, don't take no for an answer and when the goods are received just mark them return to sender.

The service from TheHut isn't great but if you get nowhere with the first person you speak to ask to speak to a manager.
