                    Hi all.
I've been away for a few days and have found that the option to send emails (including all my template ones) has disappeared from the sales record, and i can't find any way to do this now other than 'contact buyer'.
has something changed or am i missing something?
thanks

I read somewhere recently (not sure if it was on here or an email I got from ebay itself), that they were stopping the emails as of 31st May. It was something to do with buyers getting too many duplicate emails from ebay and from the seller - although in my experience, buyers like them as they are evidence that they have not been forgotten.
i have just had a look, and the new drop down menu does not make sense either - there is an option for 'mark as payment recieved', an option for 'mark as dispatched' and a third option for 'mark as payment recieved and posted' - !!!!!!? is the third option not just the same as the first two?
There are also two seperate options for postage labels - one that says 'print postage label', and another that says 'print postage labels and invoices' - If you have the second option, why the need for the first one then?
 Yet another 'improvement' from ebay...

            hi, thanks for your reply.
i have since had a bit of a play, and like you i find it a step backwards.
i was also put out recently when i realised that ebay is now sending those unpersonalised emails on behalf of sellers! it makes no sense, and i was doing just fine without them!
now, ebay are sending payment reminders after barely 2 days. they make no differentiation between uk and international buyers either. i always let my buers know when i have posted and how long they can expect to wait for it.
when i buy, i get annoyed if i don't have a personalised email - you can have all the automated emails you like, but it doesn't guarantee that a seller has actually done anything?!
rant over;) i may send an email to ebay for all the good it will do me.0

Really annoyed with the new style, its taken a step backwards in my opinion.0

As firesidemaid has said, the most annoying thing is the removal of any 'personalisation' of the emails to buyers. It used to be easy and useful to alter the standard emails to add a comment or two to the buyer, perhaps explaining or apologising for a delay etc etc. But now, they will just get a computer generated standard message. They may no be aware themselves of the change forced on us sellers either, and so repeat customers may think you've just decided not to bother any more with the personal touch and it may just annoy them enough not to buy again.

You can opt out of payment reminders.
Also the changes were announced ages ago, they are still a nuisance, but they had given lots of notice.0
