Courier that will let me specify an afternoon collection?

Hi, I am buying an item off preloved that I need to send a courier for, but the seller has specified an afternoon collection. Is there a courier that will let me book a collection this way please?

I wish you well with the search !!!!!!!!! but I've never been able to find one, unless you pay for "special journey" collection which I dare say will cost plenty.

I think its either DHL or HDNL that give you the option of a time slot

I've been sending stuff via courier for nearly 3 years - 11 packages this week alone. In my experience they very rarely turn up before 1pm and the one that does only does it because he's been picking up from me for ages so if he has a delivery in my street, he'll pop round and collect it. Other than that one single driver, they've all been post 1pm.

Courier companies charge premiums for "Before" 9am,10am and 12pm delivery services so they're going to be tied up doing those before doing the collections.

If you want to guarantee it will be picked up in the afternoon go to Parcelmonkey at anywhere between 1am in the morning and 10am on the day you want it collected and book a same day collection by City Link. It'll cost you an additional 80p over booking next day collection. The driver won't get the collection instruction until he does an over the air update on the PDA he has at lunchtime so won't turn up in the morning.
