great little gadget so you can boil your eggs just right. For only 2 quid it has to help someone.

Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert:

Poundland has said a large number of its stores have this in stock so if you're passing it's worth checking there first. Find your nearest Poundland.

Amazon's is from a third party seller so it wasn't able to say how much stock it had, although it's assured there are plenty. Thanks to JJBargain for the top spot.

I have ordered one, so thanks OP. I cannot get my eggs right - they are either too undercooked or like bullets.

cheers for this, ordered one and when i told my daughter she got all excited, she loves soft boiled eggs but i rarely achieve that, usually they're medium at best.

thought i'd try this myself and if i find it good i may go back and buy more as some little stocking stuffers, i suspect i'm not the only person in the family that has trouble perfecting the soft boiled egg!:T

This is one gadget that really works and is worth every penny of the pound it cost. I hate overcooked eggs! The plasticy smell goes away after a few uses - you could probably just put it in boiling water for 10 minutes before using the first time.

I have used these for a while, they are great. I've not had any smell off mine. Also purchased from Poundland
  • only works for standard sized Medium eggs....I keep chickens and the girls lay different sized eggs every day and as they are very fresh too they take different times to cook so wont work for me......so remember to only use shop bought medium sized eggs
