  • ok ...£64 in iceland managed to fill my chest freezer (nothing else will fit in there!) this includes basic stuff like frozen chips,bread,crispy pancakes etc and food for two family buffets over xmas thought this was pretty good ??..

    its £40 pm for 10 months to give me £400 vouchers this covers all family xmas pressies,several birthday pressies(why is everyones bday around xmas??!!)and my daughters xmas gifts and if any left over her bday pressie (in jan) thought that was pretty good what do u thinkis reasonable??:confused:

    Sorry, there should be a nurses benevolent fund that you could apply to.
    If you had been member of union , you could have applied to their's.

  • TBH, I dont think £40 a month for Christmas is extravagent, but could probably be reduced to £25 ;)

    Well done for getting started. Nothing other than the lotto is really jumping out at me, but if you shop around and make sure your utilities are all at the cheapest they can be you could make a tidy saving. :)
