Isn't it interesting that Ebay will pull these tickets immediately because it contravenes their rules, but they are happy to do nothing about people selling memory sticks which everyone knows are fakes. Presumably because they will get bad publicity over the former and not the latter, rather than any high-minded principled stand?

Dunno, as far as I'm concerned the more they knock the touts out the better. You cannot have 'accidently bought 2 tickets' for a gig and then have the starting price as £500, although before being pulled a pair of tickets were at £10,000,000.:p

Ebay will only ever act when extreme pressure is put on them, one day they'll act a little more responsibly but until someone else breaks their monopoly on the online auctions market they won't wreck their profit margins.

wooo! at 9 oclock I got 2 lots of 4 tickets! (I needed 8 they are NOT for resale for profit if anyone is thinking that)
My only concern is that both transactions went through easily. But after reading the T&C it says only 4 max per billing address. SO maybe my second lot of 4 will be cancelled?

I'm still really excited tho!!

The cancelling of tickets due to ordering too many almost never happens.
I booked 3 pairs of tix for U2 a couple years ago, and it stated that only one transaction per billing address. Concearned, I called ticketmaster to tell them what i had done (long story...bit boring really, not for reselling though) and the very nice lady said "oh that, we never inforce that!"

Got mine yesterday - could only get the so called restricted view ones (at 90deg to the stage, highest tier, right at the back)

There are also tickets available for the Live Earth concert next weekend. I got sent a text this morning from them with the link to buy tickets so check your mobiles if you originally applied but were not lucky. You have to enter your mobile number in as a security code so I think its only for those who tried to apply originally.
