early pension on income support

i have a preserved pension i can take now as i am 50 but i am on income support its just over £2000 a year would the dwp take it alloff me thanks for any help

it will be classed as income and taken off your IS, so your IS will just be a top up0

It also may well be taken into account as assumed income if it available to you and not taken! I would advise checking with the DWP to see. If you don't and in the future they learn that you could have taken it and they would have classed it as assumed income, you may be faced with a hefty overpayment or something worse!To Dare is To Do:beer:0
