I have been consistently disappointed with M&S over the last year. This was always my go-to place for good quality knowing that I would always pay a little more. Now they charge a little less but the quality is rock bottom. The trousers last no time at all - the knees go really quickly. The polo shirts are fine but no better than the cheaper options available. If you want them to last 2 years just buy a bigger size in Tesco or Asda.

i don't think any trousers last too long at the knees - at least you know your kids are having a good time at school

my missis (whos a primary teacher) always says its very sad to see the kids who hang back from playing football etc at lunch time because they have been told not to get their uniform dirty etc - their missing out from playing and having fun with their peers

Not keen on Asda uniform, bought trousers from there for my daughter and they really don't stand the test of time, i buy her uniform from M&S and it really does last.
I've just had a look at Asda's offer tho and it wouldn't be any good for me as my son has to have black trousers not grey and only grey is in the offer.

Why look at the Asda uniforms if you don't like it? If they had black trousers would you have bought it? I don't get your post at all, sorry.

I think M&S has come in for a right bashing with their uniforms fading, not only from this site but I have noticed comments elsewhere.

Each to their own though, you stick with what suits you.

I only bought the trousers and had them delivered to store for free, 6 pairs for £9 is amazingly cheap. So even better if you can get to an Asda and begrudge paying the postage.

i looked as i'm buying for my 4 year old son and Asda trousers are pretty much the only trousers that ever fit him properly (their jeans are great)

What are George sizes like? My 9 year old is quite chunky and the largest size is 9/10.

If he is chucky I can highly recommend the Next plus range. They sizing is great and they arent THAT expensive. These http://www.next.co.uk/x472802s2#396143x47 come up £7 a pair and fit really well

I usually buy Sainsburys trousers as they have adjustable waists but had to get Asda ones recently and found they fit perfectly. My boys are average height but tiny round the waist - M&S trousers don't fit them at all. I'm going to town in a bit so will be stocking up on trousers if the same deal is on at our Asda. The only annoying things is they always sprout over the summer so I have to estimate sizes. Why can't uniform deals be on at the end of August instead of three months before I need new stuff? As for Next - their trousers didn't last half as long as the Asda ones despite costing more. I still prefer Sainsburys for polos as they are true to size and wash really well but I'll be an Asda trousers shopper from now on.

I d very much like to take them up this offer. On the left hand side it states the 3 for £9 offer but wont actually let me display and items. Is anyone else having these probs?
