AMD's prices, Intel's technology.0

Intel used to run too hot, not sure if they have cured that one, I think maybe they did when

i hate looking at those charts.....you would too if your cpus scored 440 and 720 ... but hey-ho !! I'm sure my machines perform better than that......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

They don't mean much... If you can do what you need with a CPU that costs £10 from ebay, then why waste more.. My old Athlon XP served fine in a media PC..

AMD because of the price. Waiting to see how Fusion pans out, apparently its already better on low end systems like netbooks ITX etc.0

Several years ago I opted for an AMD64 chip. My current 2-year-old(ish) PC has an Intel Core i7 chip.
It doesn't really matter who is "better" - just look at the prices and benchmarks and go for the one with the best performance per pound that exceeds the performance you require and is within budget...0 -
I have not had Intel before but I might go for one this time, but there is not a lot in it.
As has been said, it is the best price performance and the general spec of the machine which matters.0 -
intel at the moment because of the performance, although i have hopes for the new AMD chips i just cant see them being useful for my desiresDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
