Hi all,

Myself and my fiance will be going to Houston, Texas as part of our Honeymoon in September this year and we are wondering if anyone has any tips for the best places to stay, and if there is any must see places? From the research we have done so far we know we want to go to the Space Centre, but that is all!
We will be arriving on a Saturday morning, and then departing on a Wednesday morning, so only 4 nights. We are very active people and are quite happy trying to fit in as many activities as possible. We will be hiring a car so happy to travel about, and happy to stay in different places!

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks,
PhotoMania! :D

    That is fab thanks!

There is a lot of useful info here - mainly making me wish I was going for longer and making me want to travel all over Texas!

I would say Galveston is not really worth a visit, but it is only about an hour from downtown Houston so if you really wanted to go it isn't far and there is an aeroplane musuem on the way.Kima?(sp?) Boardwalk is on the way if you like carnival sort of places.I go to Houston every year but only to shop and eat!The prices are amazing. San Antonia doesn't do much for me ( about a 3 hour drive ) apart from the Alamo it is like Blackpool. But everyone likes different things so enjoy .
