hi there,
i don't know about pro's but you need to be careful that it isn't a con,
i get these all the while even if i have a slow month i still get them, you need to get a lot of sales over 3 months (i think it is) to qualify, point the mouse pointer at the continue or whatever button is on there and see what address comes up and check your ebay messages as well to see if it is in there,
if you know all this and have already checked then sorry, as for the pros, live help, the powerseller logo, the cons must keep up a level of sales or goodbye powerseller, these are just some things i have heard from powersellers, i am sure there are some people on here with more idea than me
good luck
cheers:beer:one day my ship will come in and with my luck i will be at the airport:rolleyes:

There's certainly no harm to having a powerseller icon next to your name, and it doesn't cost anything so go for it. However, as mentioned - do check that it is a genuine email first.
Go to ebay, log in and check your personal messages and then follow through the links from there rather than from your email to be sure.

I thought the powerseller thing was automatic? It certainly was when I got it, I only got it because I sold a couple of antiques in the same month!
I'd say it is a scam, but I check up first!0 -
Its def not a scam as I only look at my ebay message board now. I have sold a fair amount recently. I was looking for personal experience e.g does it help your sales etc.0

I've been a power seller for a while and it made no difference at all to my sales. The only thing that I would say is that buyers expect 'more' from a powerseller, for instance the amount of people asking for a full refund because they changed their mind went up..they rarely asked at all before I was a powerseler but I suppose you look more 'official' once you display the logo.
The advantage for me was that I did get my questions answered same day instead of waiting days when I emailed support.
You can also be a powerseller without displaying th elogo, which is worth considering.
I'm actually going to lose emy PS status after Christmas as I'm not listing as much (i'm down to about 25 items a week now) as I used to as I can't afoord the time. at first I was a bit sad at losing it, but after thinking about it I shouldn't notice any real difference.

Thanks Soo. Like you I have reduced listing over Christmas so I would probably lose power seller status pretty quickly. Incidentally I have also noticed a big increase in people not reading ads properly and asking to back out of sales recently. I'm not sure if this is connected with ebay coming of age and being treated more like a normal shop or people thinking that if you sell a lot you are more tolerant. I also thought it was possibly related to my changing the type of item I am selling and therefore attracting a different kind of buyer. As far as ebay answering questions I find that the answers given are often not specific enough to be very helpful.0

i personally dont like dealin with powersellers, that icon just gives the impression that the poor souls have too much on their plate and they might misplace your item amongst all the other stuff they have for sale, or send the wrong stuff out to you!0

WE are powersellers at work, due to selling motorbikes (not volume), and it adds kudos to a larger purchase and we do have a phone to call now, which has been handy a few times.
I would go for it, it certainly wont do you any harm and it is a free service.
