Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
The food and clothing was agreed because of my job. I will keep everything the same but add a bit more on for car insurance/tax/petrol as I have looked and I'm paying more than I put down. I also have a dog so could put down pet insurance/vet bills.
Do you think this is wise or will they look at my clothing/food again?

I'm becoming concerned that you're determined to reduce your IPA, rather than looking at the fairest way to split household bills. This strategy is pretty risky IMHO :)

In my opinion(only mine) judging by wife's IPA and talking to others we have known to go BR, is that the OR can sometimes be a bit more lenient on some allowances because you are paying a decent IPA already. How much are you looking to increase all your payments by.

Fuel has only gone up by 10% at most, max £10.
How much has your car tax gone up by.
Did you declare your br to your insurance company, has it gone up much.

The or might question if you cannot afford it, why take on a dog? Is it yours or both of yours?
