Hi hope i have done this right as i am new to this.

I have contacted the company who we had a loan with for £30000
back in 2006 and the PPI was only for 5 years but the loan was for 300 months and paid off in 2008 and i contacted them yesterday and they were very helpful they gave me the account no: and confirmed that we had PPI which was £4600 and the PPI was mis-sold to us could some one tell me what sort of payment i would expect back if i was to put in a claim thanks

    Well done!

You will have to add more details in order for someone to work the calculations out for you, basically you will receive back all you paid of the PPI, including interest on top.

The details you will have to post is, how long you were paying PPI how many months etc, the monthly amount and possibly other details, but I'm sure someone will be along at some point to help, all the best and Congratulations!

    Hiya

For now maybe this will help until someone comes along.

Maxdp posted up a thread some time ago on how the FOS calculates refunds where if upheld should be the same if resolved directly with the loan business, apart from the futher distress payment, check it out below.

    Well done on your win!!.
when the loan was paid off, you would have have recieved a rebate of the total ppi, this will be taken off your calculations.
So you will get the ppi back plus the payments made to this with interest(as the loan is clear) as Di said, and the rebate you were given will be taken off.
