HELP!! How will I cope with no bathroom for 3 weeks?!

We are about to have our bathroom refitted - completely gutted & rebuilt floor to ceiling with new loo, basin, bath & shower. Now this will be a lovely room when it's finished but......the issue is that we only have 1 bathroom. We also only have one toilet & basin - and they are in the bathroom.
Now the lovely guys who are doing the work for us have promised me faithfully that we will have "a toilet every night". So at least I can get up to pay a call in the wee small hours! I accept that we will be washing faces & cleaning teeth in the kitchen sink for a little while, but how can I manage without a bath or shower for 3 weeks?! DH will be OK as he's working away from home for several days each week, so will be in hotels (lucky DH ).
And re suggestions like "use the showers at the gym", please note that DH and I are not gym-goers, and I begrudge paying out induction charges and gym-fees just to use the showers for 3 weeks, when we would not use the other facilities.
So, has anyone got any helpful ideas borne from experience?!

Go swimming a couple of times a week and use the showers after?
Infact you wouldn't actually need to swimAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
You say you are not gym members but my local county council gym charges 50p for showers for non-members so maybe you could look at whether yours does that?
Do you have friends/family who will let you use theirs?
Or one of those shower heads that plug onto taps for the kitchen sink so you can at least wash hair under shower?

Washing all over using a full sink of water and a flannel is quite possible and hygienic. Same applies for washing hair using the sink. Lock the doors and close the curtains though! We've been thoroughly conditioned to think we're only clean when sluishing around in gallons of fresh water each day. Don't worry, you'll find it's fine."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0

Do you work Floss?
If so your office may have a shower, we have a shower in my office block for poeple who cycle to work to use. It's not always clear if there is one so it might be worth asking if there is anything like this at your work.
If not do you have any friends or family nearby who would let you use the shower?
If not the swimming idea sounds the best so far!

I also have just one bathroom with the loo in there. When mine was done a few years back - new bath, shower, basin, loo, walls wholy re-tiled, the guys were great at leaving things in place for as long as possible. The worst was the bath with shower over it which was out of action for a week, and I did use showers at work or a friend's house. Basin was a couple of days during which we used the kitchen sink. The toilet itself they left as late as possible and even when it was physically moved they kept a water connection so it was usable, just a bit wobbly! I only had one day, and then only between about 10am til 4pm when there was no loo at all. I would ask why everything has to be out of action for such a long duration0

Lots of places have showers for no or minimal cost without needing to join an expensive gym!
Friends and neighbours
Public swimming pools
Municipal leisure centres and sports facilities
Motorway service stations
Airports
Budget hotels (if desperate)
Perhaps your office
In extremes you don't need to bath or shower every day. When our bathroom was redone we used the kitchen sink twice daily and had a shower with a neighbour once a week, a bath with family once a week, and used a public shower (in local gym) once a week. It wasn't ideal but it was only a few weeks and we had enough neighbours and friends not to have to ask the same person more than once. It was the same family member though as they were the only ones in commutable distance!0 -
I'd go with the washing in the kitchen sink too.0

With using the swimming pool it is also a good hypo-therapy what better way to kill two birds with one stone.0
