Hi I have been looking into recalimin misold PPI on various loans and cards. I did start the process on my own, but was later told that companies get a better outcome a we don't know how they calculate the intrests etc..... Does anyone know if this is true? If it is does anyone recommend a company to use?

I'm guessing it was a company that told you that companies get better results
No evidence at all that they do so why pay them for something you can do yourself.

For PPI complaints, you can count the advantages of using a claims company on the fingers of one finger and still have a finger left over.0

You can do it yourself very easily and keep all the money for yourself.0

Complete rubbish.
The complaints process used by claims companies is the same one used by everyone. They dont have any way of getting around it and the way redress is calculated on an upheld complaint makes no difference whether you send in the complaint youself by email, fax, telephone or letter or whether you use an IFA, a mortgage broker or a claims company.
Having seen samples of claims company letters, they are virtual copies of what you can get on the internet for free. So, about 30 seconds work from the claims company to print out the template and a second class stamp is about the level of their work.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
