Enjoy.
Thanks, I intend to!!! (by the way, I had notification that my second complaint was upheld today too) very happy household!!! :beer:0 -
My complaint was based upon the fact that my husband and I both had jobs with Blue Chip Companies (and still do) who offered 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay for sickness (which the advisor was well aware of) amongst other benefits but were told that we would risk not getting our mortgage if we did not take the cover, so effectively felt bullied into taking out a product which was clearly not needed!
There you go. It failed the financial need criteria. That is one of the three main areas of consideration. 1) should be monthly, not single 2) you should be eligible for cover and 3) you should have a financial need.
Had you been sold an unemployment only plan or a PHI policy instead of a PPI then it would not have been a mis-sale. Banks however tend not to have that sort of variety of product (which is one of the reasons you shouldnt use them)were told that we would risk not getting our mortgage if we did not take the cover
without evidence, if its paid monthly and if that is your only complaint reason then its an easy one for them to rejectI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The fact of the matter is dunstonh, had I taken on board your advice from my very first post, I wouldn't have made my complaint, I spoke with someone else in detail who believed we would make a successful claim, low & behold just over a week later we are almost £6K better off!
Sometimes, even without evidence, if you believe you were mis-sold you should go ahead and make the complaint as like me - you could be successful in claiming back what is rightfully yours!0 -

The fact of the matter is that on your thread I told you that you had a potential complaint reason.
Here is the thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3234372
and on it I said: "The 6 months full pay 6 months half pay could be a complaint reason."
You acknowledged that and said you would complain. So, why change your story now?
Also, with respect, I doubt your story. You posted on the 19th May 2011 that you would put in the complaint. Yet here were are under two weeks later and you are saying that you recently had that complaint upheld and were paid out. I think most here would consider a MPPI complaint being settled in a week an a half of the complaint being made as highly unlikely.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
