The Ninetendo Gameboy Micro has plummeted in price over the last couple of weeks, it was selling for around £70 (and some retailers are still charging that) but now it's available in a number of places for under £40. While not the very latest Gameboy, this is a good price.

Where it's cheapest

Comet is selling the Nintendo Gameboy Micro for £29.99; a good deal considering it still retails for twice that at many retailers.

Either pop down to your local Comet, or buy online at Comet Online* (however it only guarantees Christmas delivery if you order before 19/12, and often the online branch runs out of stock when many stores still have it in). The product code is 297470, and various colours should be available.

If the gameboy is out of stock at Comet, then head to Virgin, which sells it for £34.99.

More details on the Gameboy Micro?

The Gameboy Micro is a sleek, miniature-sized version of the Gameboy Advance, and takes the same game cartridges. It also offers wireless gaming potential (via an optional adaptor) and a bright colour screen. A full review of the console can be found here.

Get cashback on top

If you are ordering online, it's possible to get some cashback by buying via Comet from one of the cashback sites. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the shopbots and cashback websites article.

Firstly sorry if this has already been posted i did do a quick search and didn't see it!

I purchased the gameboy micro for my son in Comet at the orbital retail park in Swindon today for £29.99 , it still has a shelf edge label of £39.99 but it went through at the cheaper price.
Unfortunately they only have them in stock in pink or silver but i am not that bothered considering the price!

Edit - Just to say I think this offer extends to other Comet stores in the country, I know they are available for that price in the Basildon store as well. Definitely worth a phone call to your local store if you're in the market for one! They are retailing for £69.99 from Play, Amazon etc.

    why?

they are good quality logic3 stuff.... just sold it with my micro on ebay.... they are good quality and used to retail for £10.....

although think they are getting rid of them as the micro was a flop and so the same goes for the accessories
