If you are not on income support you can close the case for 12 weeks, and then open a new one, this would put him on the new system where 15% (for one child living with him) bing taken off his income before being assessed to pay you 15% of income left for you

To be honest i really don't care what the low life does anymore, if he can ignore his own son for so long then he aint much a man in my book.

I am so tired of having to go through all carry on with the CSA again.

Sorry sweetheart.I can totally sympathise.My ex husband cheated and cleared off 5 years ago when my youngest was 9 weeks.No access his choice.On positive side least your ex is having to pay something towards his kids keep.
My ex has worked illigitimately last 5 years whilst claiming incapacity so I dont get a penny despite reporting him but his 18 year old has just dropped a sprog.He needs neutering.
Console yourself in fact how well your raising YOUR kids.Think of dirty nappies and nagging and crying her and baby will be doing whilst your cuddling your little angels.

Just something that crossed my mind that you may need to think about.One day that new baby may want to meet yours more so depending on type of father he is.Be prepared it may bring out his paternal instincts.If hes been paying for his kids and yours are old enough to baby sit.Good luck.Here if you need a chat.

Like kelloggs has said it may be good news that he hasn't been re-assessed since 2000 and, naturally, it's the CSA's fault. My usual advice is get MP involved ( after Xmas now ), it will speed the COC up. Contact a complaints resolution officer. If you ask to be re-assessed now, they should action it and then once the baby is born, ask for a COC again. All correspondence via MP, then you have a record as the CSA are inclined to lose letters, deny phone calls etc.

All may be not lost yet and then he might be the one that is p1ssed off. Oh, wot a shame

I wouldn't advise closing the case to get on CS2, as he is currently paying.

We are all tired of the CSA, but keep strong.

Morning everyone

Thankyou to all who gave me some advice last night, i apologise if i have offended anyone but i was very :mad: angry.

I appreciate i'm a one of the lucky ones who actually gets maintenance there is a lot of others that don't...... it was the underhand tatics that was used that made me feel sick.

What sort of man has no contact ( no letters, phone calls, birthday cards, xmas cards, nothing) with his son for 9 years then decides one to let us know that he is going to be a dad in the new year and he's going to be delighted that it will reduce his son's maintenance.

As I understand it, when it's one child the other parent pays 15% of the salary in maintenance and when their are 2 children it's 12.5% for each child.

So you'd have a lower payment once the other child comes along.

That's my understanding anyway. (I don't have any children so I'm not speaking from experience)

This is on the new system, and the poor lady is on the old one, so this doesn't apply!

:j Just a quick update, i phoned the CSA yesterday all ready to battle with them lol but i just asked for them to re assess my case :eek: and OMG the lady was lovely she said "oh you haven't had a new assessment done in a very long time".
So they are happy to re assess the case but it could possibly take 8/12 weeks to sort out, I think since i haven't had an assessment in the last 6 years i'm sure another 8/12 weeks wont matter.
