Is this a good PVR? Bush IDPVR802B

I've spotted the Bush IDPVR802B on Amazon for £74.99 and it looks like a good deal. It's a shame Bush don't have a website yet so I can look up the proper specs of it, but this seems very good value. It's an 80Gb dual-tuner PVR. THe main problem I have is that I can't get much information on it - it seems to be very new and as such unreviewed etc. Anyone happen to have one? I think it's a pretty cheap deal. And after buying one of the Tevion ones from Aldi and returning it within a week, I thought I might give this a go.

Maybe I'll just be forced to learn the lesson "You get what you pay for", I hope not.

I have a similiar looking Bush PVR, although only 1 tuner ( and can't remember whether its 40 or 80 gb)

Its ok, but nothing special - after 10 months it now freezes up most days

Up to that point did it work OK? Or has it freezed regularly throughout?

I found this thread on Digital Spy forums that seems to suggest it's like the Aldi one, so don't think I'll go for it...

    fairly early on...
usually over night - not a major issue, it would just be struck on the last channel- turning off/on, did the job.

Does not always like playing recorded programs if input aerial connected.

Does not like a preset recording being stopped early ( 50/50 chance of losing it)

  • Hi

I've just posted some details on the digitalspy forum here:http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=498447

As far as I can tell this isn't a reboxed version of the Aldi Tevion pvr. First impressions are it's a fairly good box (for the price anyway).

    Hope this helps

I've just got this and I'm very happy with it. I flashed the firmware to enable recording of two programs at the same time. It's quiet and appears to work well so far:beer:

We got a Daewoo 9502T form Tecno.com for £89.99 a couple of weeks back to compliment our Humax 9200T. It's a very good machine, but they don't seem to have stock at the moment and everyone else is charging much more.

A bit late looking at your date. I bought two and they are brilliant. Twin tuners, little niggles seem to sort themselves out. Most digital problems are due to poor reception. Check aerial and connections. I would buy another(dumped my Sagem)
