I moved over from Pipex homecall to O2 last month, but received a monthly bill after the changeover date. Is this normal when changing phone companies? Will I will receive a rebate? Can I rely on O2/Pipex to arrange the changeover?

Has anyone got an alternative to the Pipex 0871 number that works ?(the ones on the No to 0870 site don't work)

I will answer my own question then based on my awful experience this afternoon.

Unless you cancel by telephone without getting cut off halfway through and being able to hear and understand them (quite an acheivement) Pipex will keep on billing you regardless. This is the case even if they get a 'managed cease' from the company taking over from them! This is NOT a reputable company AVOID.

Their parent company Talk Talk just casually advised me this was unsatisfactory and to cancel my Direct Debit if they keep cutting me off! Seems they know something is not quite right?
