EA rant

Just phoned a local EA about a property. Apparently the property is "gone" (under offer). EA asked me for contact details in case other properties come up so I said I would just leave my email and please don't send me any spam, I only want responses to specific enquiries I make. He assures me that I will get no spam and I hang up. Thirty minutes later I check my email and guess what - two spam emails from the EA, one of them alerting me to the property I initially enquired about that is gone. And he spelt my name wrong to boot (even though I spelled it out to him over the phone). Why are most EA such !!!!s?

I have the opposite problem. I've exhausted everything on the market so I want them to be calling me with their new instructions before they hit rightmove - it can take a week after photos etc before the details hit a wider audience. Only one agent is doing it despite me making the effort to go into every office in town and tell them that we're keen and very proceedable. In the meantime, our sale continues to progress with us having nowhere to go.
They can't even be bothered round here.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
