Hi
I have just applied for a joint Flexaccount with Nationwide and have been declined!
We both have individual Flexaccounts but wanted to get a joint one. I applied online through my online banking but at the end it said ' Sorry we are unable to offer you a Flexaccount at this time'
Even though we already have them!
What can we do? I have just checked my credit score. Last week my score was 9xx out of 1000 but now because I have been declined for an account it has dropped to 8xx! Im scared to apply anywhere else now in case lots of searches futher damages our credit ratings.
What do I do? Help!

A good few searches on your credit file is a good thing. It's just when you have too many over a long or short period that it draws attention.
I wouldn't worry too much. I take it you have a good credit history?0 -

I do, but since being declined mine has dropped 50 points :eek:0 -

I wouldn't worry too much about that.
Only thing I can suggest in relation to Nationwide is to go into the branch and ask them about and/or apply again.
Obviously when you applied on the website, it gave you an automated decision. In the bank, their is managers discretion and so forth.
Besides, the reason it may have declined was because you both already had accounts? ... Just a thought.
Other than that, why not apply to A&L or another bank using Quidco and earn yourself some cashback in the process.0
