  • spare parts for microwaves can be as expensive as getting a new cheap one.

    However I agree with tawnyowls suggestion to go to your local tip OR keep your eyes peeled for a discarded similar M/W waiting for the bin men. thats how I found a 'new' glass dish for mine after finding out that it was £18 to replace, didn't think to get the plastic ring as well.

    My family disown me at times

    If the waveguide splits (thats the silver oblong clipped into the wall)they can be replaced for about £8 or less if you can find a shop that will cut a piece off a mica sheet.
