why dont you have time to do shopping? I go to tescos once a week for probably no more than 40 mins.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
part of this debt has been due to depression from staying in due to having no money and generally going mental on my own, in turn caused by the debt - viscious circle. with budgeting that 100 i can relax and have some sort of sanity during the month so that has to stay
Do you recieve treatment for your depression? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

im not depressed anymore - but at the time the debts got me that way.
all im saying is by budgeting to go be able to go out rather than turn into a recluse (sp?) i will still stay happy.
debts are priority but not at the expense of your own health/sanity

well
the thing is
you are spending money you dont have, which is giving you debts which is making you depressed and anxious.
To be completely frank with you here, you are really in the poop here. You are over one overdraft by 350, you are at limit on another, about to open yet another bank account, in arrears with 02, your electric company and your virgin credit card.
I recommend that you take the bull by the horns and start cutting bqack & paying off. I recommend that you sell everything you can. you might not have anything high value but every penny counts here. You might get a quid for a cd- isnt that better than not having that pound?
Could you get a second job
you can downgrade your contract- jsut call them and say you cant afford it - (lets face it if you owe them 450 im surprised they havent cut you off by now) they will know you are in a state.
got any old mobvile phones laying about- try https://www.envirophone.co.uk:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hi there
A couple of suggestions
Food bill. You could half that easily with very careful and planned shopping. If you pop over to the Old Style Board ther are loads of suggestions for batch cooking, using store cupboard items etc
£100 a month 'going out/clothing money'. Unfortunately this will have to be reduced. I know where you are coming from about depression/going out, I'm on anti-depressants myself now. Not going out is sometimes really horrible, but you have to make the sacrifices if youare going to clear the debt. Have you spoken to your GP about counselling?
£200 worth of stuff that you can sell is still £200. Could you ebay the items? sometimes, lots of little bits of sales add up - CD's you don't play, games you no longer use, DVD's you don't watch.
Bank charges - have you made a start? If not, put the wheels in motion. It takes a while to get things pushed through the system and if you start now then you may have the charges back by the Spring.
Have a look at the snowball calculator at what's the cost. It will give you a date to focus on and if you can make some savings here and there youwill be surprised how much more quickly you can reach your debt free date.
Good luck. Take each day at a time, making little changes and you will succeed.0 -
Hi, according to my calcs you have £104.77 per week to spend on food, going out and anything else. I suggest you keep a spending diary and write this amount in it on a Monday and keep a track of what you spend by subtracting. If you have any over, carry it forward to the next Monday. The only way to stop overspending is to monitor it. The only way to monitor it is to write it down.
Considering your income, your overheads are not that high. I presume the rent of £104 is monthly; this is very low. Is this correct?
Anyway, good luck, the figures are as follows:
income weekly monthly
self 841.00
partner
total 0.00 841.00 divide by 4.33
£194.08
£194.08 total weekly income
spend weekly monthly
rent/mortgage 104.00
council tax 56.00
elec 40.00
gas
water 20.00
secured loans
TV licence
fines
mum 100.00
mob 35.00
bus 32.00
total 0.00 387.00 divide by 4.33
£89.31
£89.31 total weekly spend
Start= income - spend = £104.77 per week0 -

although your calculations are OK, what help is this to the OP who is over all his/her limits. I dont think they do have that amount of money, as clearly they need to use that to clear the arrears

Hi Everyone
I must say whilst the OP does admittidly have a difficult situation you have been quite harsh with him/her.
I'm not the person to give advice on how to manage these debts and would suggest a debt councillor. Depression is a on-going situation and people need to be treated with care. The OP's asked for help and been bashed (IMO)0 -

with respect i disagree, all i have pointed out is that right from the start she made excuses to why things cannot change and i pointed out where things could be improved as did the other posters. I'm not gonna go awww there there if its not required. As for the depression the OP says she is over it and if it does reoccur then that will need to be looked at there and then
