No Halifax £5'ers yet?

Ooh I wonder why I don't get mine then..I have my savings with them, and I am drawing down at the moment, so I normally transfer to C/A and then to my other bank account...perhaps that's a job to follow up tomorrow (unless the reason is as I am transferring from Halifax anyway, I guess..although normally I am transferring the otherr way, from my wages into Hx c/a and then into savings)

Is your account a Reward Current account or an Ultimate Reward Current Account? Or just a Bog Standard Current Account?

If it's one of the first two, you should get a fiver. If it's the latter, you should ring up and change it!

You must have got it near the start. I got it in the last month it did it (Oct '09 I believe) where you could get 3 accounts.

Either way; money for nothing and kicks for free.

Opened the first 3 at launch* (Feb '09), then re-designated my HICA a Reward account in October '09.


* Actually went for 6 but they swiftly closed down my 3 BoS variants. Spoilsports!

Time to swaffle my £1,000 about for June. 92 seconds for £15. Hourly rate of £586.96....haha, that would be nice.

The account has been available for 26 months. So it's £130 per account. I was lucky enough to get 4 up front (3 normal and 1 URCA that I redesignated) = £520. Gross up for tax and it's £650.

I really should get the credit card too - for an additional £5 a month with no tax liability.
