Hi, not sure if the Daily Mail has made a mistake with dates but its the 11th June on Saturday, also spotted this in their terms and conditions:-
Terms and Conditions: Excludes purchases of Tobacco products, Tesco and Esso Fuel, Caf!, and Lottery products, E-top up, prescription medicines, infant milk formula, jewellery and gift cards. Offers are subject to availability and where stocked. The coupons have no cash value. No Change will be given. Copied, damaged or defaced coupons will not be accepted. Coupons are valid only in the UK and IOM until June 21, 2009.
No I think this is an old offer, looks like google/DM are giving confusing searches and I didn't read any further down the page and didn't realise that Sat wasn't the 13th :o
Still at least no-one has bought the paper yetAnd anyone can make a mistake as the Dalek said climbing off the dustbin

Moneytight in chargeI saw a super trouting today. The woman at the next till had a coupon for a loaf of bread. The coupon seemed to have been cut from the packaging of the loaf but didn't have a barcode. Trout went to find CS super-trout who rather cheekily told her they don't accept coupons without barcodes. The woman stood her ground and demanded a manager as they sell the item with the coupon so why wouldn't they accept the coupon.
I've no idea how the Tesco tills work but the CS and SA could have been a lot nicer plus the woman who served me then started !!!!!ing once the woman had left. Are customers meant to be mind readers now and when our crystal balls are broken we should graciously accept down right cheek from lowly checkout operators?
...how they supposse to scan the coupon without barcode? Dont get me wrong but I think it not right for anyone to cut off coupons for products they havent purchased yet. The coupon is an icentive for your next buy.:)

Idlesaver in chargeIt has been 6 months since I last contacted Tesco but after this weeks mega trouting I decided that I wanted an up to date hard copy letter to carry around in my bag. Thought I would share my response. [STRIKE]Although most of it is the same old paragraph that always gets emailed, interestingly it was slightly different and seems that they are happy to accept product specifc vouchers from competitors.[/STRIKE] I have highlighted all the common questions and bits that I found particularly useful:As requested, our official policy states that:
• We'll happily accept your coupons if you've bought the specific product refers to.
• This includes Tesco and supplier coupons.
• Unfortunately if you haven't bought the specific product, we can't accept the coupon.
In addition to this, our stores are briefed with the following information and should be adhering to these guidelines in all cases, unless management believe that they have reasonable justification to refuse acceptance.
We also accept competitor's conditional spend coupons from ASDA, Sainsbury, Morrisons, Waitrose, Aldi, Marks & Spencers, Co-op and Boots.
• The coupon must be in date.
• The Coupon must state it can be used in store.
• More than one coupon can be used providing the conditional spend is met, i.e. for 2 x £3 off £30 shop, £60 must be spent.
• If the coupon does not scan, the barcode may be entered into the checkout manually by the operator.
We also accept Internet coupons that a customer has printed, with the following guidelines.
• We accept internet coupons issued by suppliers such as Coca Cola, Ariel, etc.
• The specific product displayed on the coupon must be purchased.
• The coupon must be in date.
• The coupon can be printed in colour or black and white but must not appear to be a photocopy.
• If the coupon does not scan, the bar code may be entered manually by the operator.Addicted to MSE0 -

Thank you cpoir this is great as its clarifies some questions. Funny enough I had a look today at Sainsbobs coupon policy and it very similar except the acceptance of competitors coupons. Will print of a copy tomorrow and post it here.0 -

supplier coupons are not competitor coupons. as they say below, supplier coupons, ie coca cola, pepsi, etc.
They cannot accept competitor coupons for specific products to be bought in their competitor store, as they will not be able to get that money back. eg Sainsbury coupon for 30p of kellogs that must be bought in Sainsburys. Tesco will not be able to claim this.0 -

Coupon and chat mixed threadMorning all
The only moc I used yesterday was the £1 wys £5 on fruit & veg in the Co-op. I've started buying more in there lately, thanks to the offers on their Truly Irresistible range and having the printable mocs. The quality is much better than T's and I've had good value for my money too.So your answer don’t be scared of failure
For the only failure is never to try
