I can't believe how excited I get about a trip to the supermarket now!!
Just been to Mr Ts and used 2 x £1 ariel vouchers as they have it on offer.
And I managed to get 5 jars of the 40p pasta sauce! There was a lady looking at others whilst I was there so I passed on the info. she was very grateful.
My stash is coming along nicely now :j

    Coupon and chat mixed thread
Really annoyed with myself. Printed the Rice fusion coupon at work, as I forgot to print it off at home, but also forgot the printer defaults to black and white. Popped into Sainsbury's on the way home (hence printing at work) and they refused the coupon because it wasn't in colour, apparently people have been photocopying the internet coupons and they've lost alot of money. She said the policy had changed in the last few weeks, unsure if thats local or national. Fingers crossed they forget that people can photocopy in colour, I don't want them to stop all internet coupons that would be very limiting.
So said I didn't want the item and she didn't look happy with me. Grrrr.

just out of interest why are you subscribed to this thread? I only subscribe to any thread I'm interested in which does not get posts every day. I would go demented if I were subscribed to this one.
Most of us on here have been subscribed for a long time now,and we have all been very interested in it ,it has always been our first and foremost forum of interest on MSE.Thats why we have always posted 'good mornings' and' good nights' to one another and shared all sorts of interests other than shopping ones, my virtual friends on here are the 'best'....I only subscribed to this and 2 others but do check out a few others on MSE when I have time ...this forum has always had a nice steady stream of posts, just enough to keep us all happy and interested ,and make friends, who we keep in touch with other than posting on the forum....don't get me wrong all the chat is still nice and friendly , but it has gone balistic since Pricecheck came and went...please newbies do not take this as a personal attack, as has been said the more the merrier ,but now , for me personally , I would prefer 2 separate forums threads, one for mocs and 1 for chat...

Voted...have voted for separate thread ....my reason.........have always subscribed to the thread until recently, but now I really can't keep up with the email reminders, my inbox is bulging with emails all day long and taking ages to sort them out and delete them all, and I have more time than most of you as I do not work ...I would love to have a moc thread with email alerts and then check out the chat for all the news when I have time, but I'm finding it hard to keep up...just my opinion...if it stays as it is I think I will stay unsubscribed and just check out the first page before I shop , and post mocs if and when I find them.

Although I would tend to favour split threads last time we tried it it just didn't work, peeps weren't sure what counted as coupon related or where to post it with the result that many became afraid to post for fear of getting flamed, it did turn a bit nasty on occasions and that was when there were considerably fewer of 'us' - I think that if it is going to stay as a combined thread then whoever does it needs to be able to monitor it constantly because as IS has found any 'gems' (Like most of mine;)) soon get buried and can easily be missed - If we are to have separate threads then whoever does the moc thread needs to police it and possibly ask posters to move 'Inappropriate' posts whilst gently explaining why which I feel will be too much for IS? - I think that has to fall to the 'Thread owner' so that it doesn't decend into points scoring/personal attacks :o

IS would 'policing' a separate thread still be too onerous for you? :A
:p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)

Last time we had split threads it was Browntoa who was policing both threads as he is this one. One of the reasons we voted for a combined thread again was to ease the work load.
Mad has voted and whichever way it goes you'll all still have to put up with me:D

Well I am going to put my two penneth in now and be slapped with 100 wet fishes, but I feel that the Regulars are not too keen on the newbies joining in with the chat, it feels a little hypocritical when you post good mornings etc and yet you feel the thread is being over run since dtd finished with newbies posting, yet you say in one post good morning/evening ?? If I had one complaint is to stop useless posts like that.
Well you give out good advice and I am very thankful for that, but I feel like I'm scaring all the regulars away (my opinion) and I am going to go back to being a lurker. I will probably not post on this forum again.
As to two separate threads I think that it is a silly idea that has come about because the regulars want their forum to themselves, well I'm sorry if I have stepped on anyone's toes , it wasn't intentional.
    Goodbye!
