If she scanned it, does that not mean it would have scanned for £1.79 as that is what the coupon was worth?0 -

I think the SAs automatically scan all coupons without reading the bar codes. As the code ends 000 that means that they have to manually input the price of the voucher and as it stated the item was free, she input it for the price I paid. If I had purchased the ones that are currently on offer for £1 in Tesco, she would have only input the value as £1.00.0 -

Ah right, sorry, thought you said she scanned it. I think I was just unlucky, this was the same young girl who wouldn't accept my Dove coupons, so not all old women are trouts, it seems we get some young ones too.0 -

I think the coupons still have to be scanned even if the amount isn't specified in the barcode as this sort of registers the coupon that's been used. Manually inputting the value is probably just because it can be used in multiple shops and the prices do vary2014 wins: £15 iTunes voucher, £15 Amazon voucher, Sharwood's wok & sauces, Food Lover's Guide to the World book, £20 Tesco giftcard, Goodfellas x 3, Garnier skin cream, £25 Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito meal, £20 Frankie & Benny's, Panebello pizza, Harlan Coben book0 -
Idlesaver in chargejust alittle info re: ssm fantasticsavings vouchers
although you can print as many claims as you like via the site.
the household limit is 5 per household per year.
i recently decided to see if they track/keep records by trying to claim a 6th lot .
and found
they do keep records , my receipts and claim form were returned with a cover note stating i'd had my limit.so don't bother sending more than 5 per address.0 -

If they don't scan, the SA should manually input. If SA can't or won't manually input, go to CS and they should do it and refund you the value of the coupon. At least, that's what I've done in Tesco, and that's what they're supposed to do, although individual Tesco stores often make up their own rules.0
