I found this website which I think would be of big help to any parties: one-stop-birthday-ideas.com0

My daughter once went to a party with a bouncy castle/soft play, they tried to have party games but the kids just wanted to play on the bouncy castle/soft play!! I would just have that to be honest, is the bouncy castle big enough so there's not loads of kids waiting for a turn?0

60 is alot to have. I know you said foundation but still the limit to 30 in each class! My twins have had a limit of 30 kids for the past few years, they are 6 now. That is plenty.
As far as bouncy castle and all the games.....the times when my girls have been to a bouncy castle party at that age, that is all they need! I think one game was played after they ate but the castle was more than enough to keep them entertained.
For health and safety issues you will have to limit the number of kids on the castle unless you are having morew than one, no doubt your husband will be aware due to it being his business.
Hope the party goes ok.0 -
i had 30 last year for my daughters 4th bday at village hall.
we planned all of the games ourselves and took months making them, the kids wouldnt listen and sit down and follow instructions...... it was chaos.
i wouldnt worry too much about any of it, the kids didnt seem to care what they were playing, they just wanted to run around with their mates!
this year we're having around 30 too, but i've hired a magician, who will do the games and provide the entertainment for us
much easier as im 7 months pregnant
foodwise, much gets wasted, so basic sandwiches, grapes, sliced strawberries, carrot and cucumber sticks with dips, crisps, few cake slices or crispie cake type bits and i would recommend cup drinks rather than squash in beakers, or you'll have some upset kids when someone knocks their drink all over them

and tbh, i contemplated bouncy castle this year, but i didnt like the idea of 30 kids on it all jumping around, never mind 60, i was worried i'd get sued for broken bones

My friend put the kids in groups with colours and had a helper timing bouncy castle sessions. They had a disco (she is a singer and had all the pa equipment) and a mike, so swapping the groups over was no problem. With 60 kids, this is essential!
Make sure the entry and exit points are secure because it will be impossible to keep tabs on them all at the same time. If they can't be secured, you will also need helpers at the doors as they WILL try to escape!

We had about 40 at my DD's 5th birthday, it was completely mental & we really would have struggled without friends helping. We had an entertainer which helped massively, without it would have been a disaster!0

Hire a puppet show or clown to help entertain the kids.0

It sounds like a fab party to me, and I doubt your older children would resent your youngest for having a party!
I have had a few parties over the years ( 4 kids, eldest almost 23, youngest 5 next week) and I find no matter how organised you are the kids will do their own thing at that age! they will gravitate towards the bouncy castle, so have more than 1 person supervising, and I found a large 3 minute egg timer fab, as each group can see when it's time to get off, and the next can see when it'll be their turn!
Sitting down pass the parcel games might get frantic with 60 children, how about musical statues etc instead?
If you can rope in somoene to dress up and wander around the kiddies, it went down well with mine when my youngest's older brother ( 20) dressed up as spiderman and walked around giving mini spiders to the kids ( they didn't have a clue who he was under the costume!)
Maybe a colouring table, so there is somewhere quieter, I went to a large party recently and this worked a treat, cups of crayons, print outs of fave charcaters such as octonaughts, and free rein to create... especially as some children find large paries a bit scarey and want to hang onto their mums skirt!
Just make sure you have LOTS of help, and enjoy it
