OK I've had enough of this  There is no way I'm going to get my hands on one any time soon in the UK!

I'm off to Denmark for 3 days tomorrow...does anyone know if I'll be liable for import duties/tax if I was to buy one there and bring it back by flight with me? (That's assuming they themselves have stock  )

    Thanks

Not 100% but as Denmark are in the EU, I think it's perfectly ok???
If not, just say you took it over there in the first place to play on hols!!! ;)

  • no tax is liable when you move within the eu
  • The wii console is region free - however the games arent. Also the language can not be changed on the Jap consoles (according to play asia, selling them for £205).

This may be of some use to some people, http://www.engadget.com/2006/10/20/in2games-fusion-controller-spices-up-next-gen-motion-sensing/

think I might hold out for the PS3 again now.

I'm just back from France and they were piled up, going out the door quite fast but would have been easy enough to get one.

No huge queues or fighting over them

Spoke to CS to asking about stock of the Wii who were helpful and told me which store was going to be getting some and passed me the number, called them up and got some right ratty woman who was very defensive and was just going to hang up!

She said not telling you anything, cant tell you, dont know anything etc etc

They must be buying them for themselves
  • from what i have seen the managers know wen stock is coming but they dont know how many. Ho aren't being as forthcoming at coming forward with numbers anymore. good luck i was told liscard was getting 5 today
