Reposessions and Land Registry Data

I'm looking at a house for sale but am having trouble finding what the current owners paid for it. They tell me they moved there 3 years ago and purchased the house as a reposession.
I've looked on Nethouse prices, Zoopla, Mouseprice etc and the property is not listed - I assume because it was purchased as a reposession.
I'm keen to discover how much they paid so am considering paying £4 for the Land Registry data. Is the sold price likely to be on there or not, seeing as Mouseprice etc claim to get their data from Land Registry?

have you asked them? Or sometimes a google cache search works
with regard to land registry, it might show it, they exclude the data from indices as it might skew it. Got to be worth a £4 gamble0 -
Land registry website will tell you if they hold the last sold price before they ask for payment.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Whilst the last sold price may be an indicator of present value it is not really reliable. It is very dangerous to apply national/regional percentage increases/decreases to figures to arrive at a present value.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
Doubt if the sellers are basing what they will accept on what they paid for the place. You need to look at what similar properties have sold for recently.0
