We've all done (very stupid) things. That's why most of us are here.

Was the £15000 your money, or were you lookin after it on behalf of someone else?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Hey, sorry to hear about your troubles. Don't worry about not posting in other threads, most people start out here by posting about their own problem.

If it is just little things like paying for food that all add up to the £15k then I don't really think you would have any comeback. However in the case of large purchases and the loan of £5k, perhaps you can pursue it in the small claims court? Small claims action doesn't cost much money in legal fees because you can process the details yourself online.

You would obviously need some kind of evidence to back up what you are claiming, and winning action doesn't necessarily mean you get the money back, but it might be worth a try. Why not get a free 30 min consult with a solicitor and see what they think your chances might be?

I think you'll just have to chalk it down to experience as there's not much you can do really unless you signed documentation etc.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but you can't change the past so best to just learn from it and move on.

The debtfree wannabee board can help you look at your incomings and outgoings. The old style board will help you save money around the home on food etc.
