Silver wedding ring?

I think the comments about putting your stamp on your husband are a little unfair! There's nothing wrong with both parties wanting to wear an outward symbol of their marriage.
My husband didn't really want a ring as he's never been into jewellery so we decided to get a sub-£100 ring for him and we looked at Tungsten for the reasons stated above, unfortunately he didn't suit any silvery metals so had to get a white and yellow gold ring which cost a little more but he loves it and it suits him much better. It took a little getting used to but he really likes wearing it now, and he likes showing off the fact that he's off the market!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
My OH got a silver ring as he wasn't sure he would wear it (doesn't wear any jewellery and his job isn't ideal for wearing anything either). We got a £20 one from Argos and he wore it on the day and that was it! I'm not bothered as it meant we had more to spend on my ring (which I never take off) and I am also used to men not wearing wedding rings as I never knew my Dad wearing his (he was young and skinny when he got married and after a few years with my mum's fab cooking it didn't fit anymore!).0

But both parties dont want to wear a ring, only one party wants both to wear a ring, thats the impression the OP gave in her opening post.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
My oh won't wear a ring. I'd love him to have one for the ceremony but tbh, it'll be a waste of money and he'd never wear it. So we spoke to the vicar and she's going do the ceremony for one ring only.
It doesn't bother me he won't wear one everyday - he's a farmer so A) its impractical and
he's of the ilk that think wearing Jewelry isn't manly and tbh I agree with him - I wear the sparkles in our relationship, not him!
Do what works for both of you though,,

Really good quality and great service! Almost a year on and it still looks the same as when I put it on him.
And I'm STILL reading wedding forums!!?0 -

I had no idea lots of people actually chose metals other than gold or platinum. Feeling much better about it now. Thanks for all your replies.
He doesnt like wearing shirts to work or clearing out the dishwasher either but he'l be doing that every day too!;)0 -
Just been on John Greed jewellery and then have one almost exactly like the gold one he was looking at in the jewellers.
