Post Office Credit Card

Hi, hope someone can advise me.
We purchased Take That tickets on post office credit card last Oct totalling £680. We found out at the weekend that we have been scammed by an internet site whom we purchased the tickets from. My mum-in-law contacted the credit card company (it was on her card) and was told it was too late to claim as she should have claimed within 3 months!!
We were due to go to the concert on Fi 3rd June so how on earth we were supposed to know back in Jan that this company was part of an online fraud is beyond me.
I am in the process of writing to the credit card company as we have contacted the Anti Fraud who have issued us with a crime number.:mad:

Sounds like nonsense to me. No doubt they are worried it is too late for them to chargeback - but that is their problem not yours. If they, or their associates (via visa/mastercard) offer facilities to fraudsters then what do they expect? That's what s75 is all about.

So it looks like a normal s75 claim to me - unless I'm missing something. They are jointly and severally liable to deliver the tickets promised and that didn't happen. Remind them of this in the letter and demand a full refund and point out that you acted promptly once you realised the site was fraudulent. No doubt forms etc will follow.

This all assumes the cardholder bought the tickets from the website directly. It gets tricky if purchased via an intermediary such as paypal.
