    Mortgage-free Glee!
Ok, so i havent posted here for ages, ooops not a very diary keeper, i never was!
So situation now.... mortgage owed 80,426
    Offset saving 59,514
    So paying interest on 20,912

So another 20k to save and then im completely offset and so the loan will be free, then ill feel better!

I should be doing much better than this but the holiday to New Zealand wasnt the cheapest, we slept in the cheapest sites we could find, cook for ourselves nearly all the time but we did so many activities....
Im thinking of it as a once in a lifetime holiday, i will never do half those things again especially not in the space of three weeks!!! not very money saving i know.

but now im in a country with a good rate of pay (hardship factor) so thats good news... and xmas hasnt been too bad to my wallet, so i guess i need a target for the end of 2012.

    what do you think guys?

So my sad loser status can be escalated! I have now excelled my mortgage and assuming things continue as they are my mortgage will be completely offset by December this year!!!

Im so excited and it has just given me loads more motivation to not spend and save save save towards the mortgage!!!

    Hi elantan,
I tried to look at it, but it looked like a bit to coplicated/too much work for me. Im very often not well connected to the rest of the world.

Plans for when Im offsetted, maybe move to Holland, but then i have to work out what to do with my house, (partner is dutch and lives there). Also i said to myself that this job would pay off my house, so once i am offset, then i can quit my job and have a normal life, this one is very tiring...
