Legal Expenses Cover on Home Insurance

Hi All,
I am just going through the process of renewing my home insurance, and was wondering whether to bother with the Legal Expenses Cover ?
Firstly, I am not really sure what this is !! ?? - I have never ever heard of anybody using claiming this.
Is it just one of those things where you think "it is only £20 a year and I might need it ..." or is it something worth having ?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You really need to study the cover details to see whether it is something you would need. They do vary quite a lot, so some are better than others. I have heard of stories on either side, some saying that the cover was worth paying for and others who had been left disapointed that their legal case would not be funded. The legal expenses providers will only pursue cases that they have a chance of being successful with.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
