Your opening statement didn't make that clear, especially with talks of an ebay shop. If your merely selling used goods that are yours (you have purchased) then you wouldn't need to register. I wouldn't mention anything about family donations who says you didn't buy them!! If you start to buy or receive donations from others with the intention of selling then you would need to register. Also just because you end up registering doesn't mean you will automatically have to pay tax, there is a threshold you have to go over first so don't panic about that.

Sorry for the misunderstanding the reason i mentioned the shop bit was because i have four yeas of clothes to sell lol as you might have guest im new to this

TBH there is no benefit (as I see it) to the shop other than being able to sell more at once. Think for private sellers 30 at a time is the max which is a fair amount to still work with. Plus if you time it right you can avoid your insertion fees by choosing weekends when they have the fee listings on etc.

If a 30 max limit is too restrictive I would look at the shop but way up the fees etc before jumping in as you maybe worse off.
