ive tried but cannot get anymore as they are making more part-timers to fill the spaces, my partner is having the odd few hours a week but by the tax man gets hold of it, we dont come out with much
i just cant understand why one site ie direct.gov gives you information after taking 20 mins to fill the online form out and yet inland rev gives you completely different
at this rate, its living on next to nothing and selling my poor little car that i need for work and school because i just cannot afford it
no win situation and its getting me down....paying full rent with no help and full council tax its crippling us0 -
What do your adult children contribute or are they still in FE and you get CB/CTC for them?0

Can you not both look for second jobs - something like bar work or catering? If you each brought in an extra £30 per week you'll be up over £200 per month.Gone ... or have I?0

my children are 12 and 9 and in full time education and we dont live near the schools so i need my car to take them
i do get some c/t/c and the normal c/ben but also i have to put one of them in child care whilst i work in school holidays but because its £20 a day i wont get any help for that either, so i cant win and to be honest what i pay in childcare i get a days wages...its not worth me working at this rate because im losing0 -
Public transport, do they qualify for bus passes?
i did look into this for my oldest and i would have to pay for and there isnt one for my daughter
thankyou all for trying to help, anything is better then sitting here worrying like hell, but i can see why alot of people dont work!!!!0 -
Have you actually been to your council and applied for HB and CTC, because you would get some on that income. My gas and elctric for 4 is only £120 a month.0
