Powergen 5% extra discount new & EXISTING customers
11% discount for dual fuel increased to 16% until January 2008.
THIS OFFER IS ALSO AVAILABLE TO EXISTING CUSTOMERS (like me).
Existing customers should call 0800 015 1712 and ask for the "Energy Online Winter Saver" . They ask for account details but found me via my postcode. Discount was immediately applied.
This is definitely available (I did it this morning) but is not being widely advertised. It could save I reckon £35-70 over the next year depending on your energy usage. If you're an existing customer, it's got to be worth a freephone and about 90 seconds of your time.
I've been with Powergen Energy on-line for a couple of years. I check Uswitch from time to time and while they're not always the cheapest for me, they're normally 2nd or 3rd cheapest so I've been happy to stick with them while the others chop and change.
This is a limited time offer so get going!

Yes, I have changed to this tarriff as an existing customer about three weeks ago and I too am happy with Powergen; they usually come out as one of the best for me anyway and it's swings and roundabouts because they all put their prices up eventually.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I've just phoned as an existing Powergen dual-fuel customer. Took 2 minutes and an estimated saving of £55.Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0

Apologies. I wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes. I only discovered this yesterday.
Such a good deal deserves mentioning (at least) twice in any case.....0 -
I agree it’s a cracking deal and anyone on the normal Powergen online scheme should, if they can switch to the winter saver to get the extra discount.
No need to apologise ( I’m sure the original poster wouldn’t mind - it helps everyone), Just added the link as the comments may help others.0
