CD WOW! Up to their old tricks again!

I stoped using CD WOW! in September 2007. Now I remember why!

So, I was searching for a special DVD or Blu-Ray. It's an American edition which comes (came) with a free mini figure. Looked everywhere I know in America for it, but no-one had it. Did a Google Shopping seach and lo and behold, CD WOW! had it in stock! Woo hoo! Did think long and hard before ordering it as I've been shafted by them before, but as I couldn't find this thing anywhere else I decided to order it.

Said it'd be posted within 24 hours. I ordered on Sunday night and it was posted Wedenesday morning. I should have been tipped off by the time I got the confirmation e-mail; just gone 1am. But nope, never thought aymore about it!

It arrived today in a suspiciously flat package. Postage mark say it's come from the USA, then there's a Royal Mail 2nd Class sticker over that. Anyway, opened the package and, surprise, surprise, no figure! Just the Blu-Ray disc. *Sigh* Should have known.

E-mailed CD WOW! straight away saying that they'd sent the wrong item and I would like to return it so they could send the item I ordered, and I've not long recieved this response:

CD WOW!

He must think I was born yesterday! I know this edition was packaged with the figure. What, is he suggesting that the non-pysical (i.e digital, downloadable) copy comes with a figure? How stupid does he think I am? (Not open to suggestions! :D ) Besides, their picture clearly shows a Blu-Ray with the figure stuck to the front of the case!

Anyway, I've e-mailed them back saying I want what I paid for and that I'm fully aware of the DSR. Guess we'll see how long I have to wait before I get what I've paid for!

Anyone else still experiencing problems with CD WOW!?

    Where does it mention a figure? Where does it mention the American edition, the description is "region free". Relying on the picture alone is never a good idea.

    If you have had problems before it would be useful to take a screengrab when making purchases from them.

    I wasn't relying on the picture, I know this version comes with the figure. Besides, they have the other Blu-Ray version sans figure for sale, so logic dictates that for the extra money and the fact the pictures clearly shows the version WITH the figure, that I would recieve the item shown.

    If relying on the picture is rarely a good idea how come the Internet isn't littered with complaints about every company not having the item pictured? *Rolls eyes*

    Which is why I did exactly that! :D

    I have since ecieved another reponse from a different rep saying she's supports my concern about this and is looking into it. Hopefully she'll be more useful than the first bloke.
