PPI rules and restrictions

I have had 2 credit cards on which I paid PPI because I believed it was mandatory, they lasted for 8 years but there are 2 complications. Firstly was that due to redundancy I succesfully claimed over a period of 6 months and secondly I was made bankcrupt. Will this stop me from claiming back the PPI?

Technically if you feel you have been missold it should not make a difference. The banks are using the laws/clauses and just about everything else to get out of redressing people who would have never been eligible to make a claim so just because you have had to claim on your PPI for 6 months does not mean that you were not originally missold in the first place. It will however make it more difficult to claim. As regards the bankruptcy I have no idea and maybe someone else will be along with their views.0
