Advice please
I am about to be made redundant as the commute to my new place of work is too far. (Was at risk but offered an other job at a different site) I have left via VR I believe as this other job was not commutable long term (3.5 hours drive round trip)
My wife currently works part time but is going full time.
We have two children 10 and 4.
We own our own home (mortgage) £610 / Month
We are getting WTC at the moment based on my salary of £27500 and my wifes part time salary of £6000.
My question is will our WTC go up based on me not working and taking redundancy but my wife working full time. Our childcare costs will be reduced until I find alternative work. Are there any other options available short term while I find work.
My redundancy payment will be £6000
Cheers for any help/advice

You should be entitled to CB JSA for 26 weeks providing you have paid sufficient ni contributions over the qualifying years.
You need to tell tax credits on change of circumstances, as it works on last years income you may be better not getting a reassessment on an estimate of this years income unless you overestimate (there is no disregard if they use your estimate to anything earnt over this will be an overpayment) they will also stop the childcare element with you not working although there may be a run on before it ceases0
