Is the MicroSD card for a Blackberry the same as the Nokia? Will I be able to just move the memory card from my Nokia onto a Blackberry?

In short, yes.

I will say 'yes' as well. The data may be in different places (i.e. the photo's taken with the camera may be put into different directories) but both will be able to read / write to the card.

unsure if they'll use the same file system, worth checking or at worst it will require a reformat of the card when first inserted (ie wipe all data and initialise it for the new device).

So best to back everything up first

While on the subject, I used to get away with 500mb of memory on my Nokia, for music, podcasts and photos. Will a Blackberry be requiring more?

Generally yes but not always.

Some MicroSD cards are SDHC (High Capacity) and work on certain devices and not others. It mainly applies to cards over 8GB so best to check if your card is SDHC and if your blackberry accepts them.

The space needed for storage should be the same but when changing to a new phone its quite likely you will find more things available to you and will put more on. See how you go for the moment but you may need ot buy a new card in the future if your usage goes up.
